“Paper Boat” (1984) is made of stainless by Erik Heide. “Paper Boat” is set in the creek of the Hans Christian Andersen Garden. The sculpture was purchased in 1984 by Odense City Arts Foundation as part of a sculpture exhibition in Eventyrhaven.
The boat leads viewers to think of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”, specifically the part where the tin soldier is put in a paper boat in the gutter by two boys.
